Welcome to the IRISE Virtues online course!

The IRISE virtues provide a framework for putting the University of Kansas' core values into practice. Centered on the values of Integrity, Respect, Innovation, Stewardship, and Excellence, the virtues associated with these values describe the attitudes and behaviors that foster ethical decision-making, collaboration, intellectual growth, and a strong sense of community. Together, they guide how members of the KU community engage with one another in support of the university's mission. The modules in this course demonstrate how the IRISE virtues can be incorporated into classroom lessons and learning activities. Opportunities are provided for instructors to prompt student discussion and reflect on how they might adapt their teaching of the IRISE virtues.
